Raw Peanut Butter Caramel Slice

This raw, vegan peanut butter caramel slice is perfect for those who love a healthy, sweet treat or for anyone trying to cut out refined sugars from their diet (and desserts!) Keep a stash of these as bite sized morsels in your freezer to grab and go.

Please note – as this recipe uses raw ingredients, it’s best to keep refrigerated or frozen until consumption.

Ingredients

Chocolate Base

 3/4 cup ground almond meal

2 tablespoons cacao powder

2 tablespoons maple syrup

1 tablespoon melted coconut oil

 

Peanut Butter Caramel

1/2 cup peanut butter (no added salt or sugar)

3 tablespoons maple syrup

1 tablespoon melted coconut oil

 

Chocolate Topping

 1/4 cup cacao powder

1/4 cup melted coconut oil

3 tablespoons pure maple syrup

Directions

Line a tray or dish with baking paper. In a bowl make up the chocolate base first. Mix all ingredients together and then put into the lined dish and set aside in freezer. In the meantime, make up the peanut butter caramel. Mix all the ingredients together to add as a middle layer on top of the chocolate base. Set aside in freezer again. Mix

up the final chocolate topping ingredients in a bowl and pour as the final layer on top of the other two. Set aside in freezer for 1-2 hours. Once set, cut up into bite size chunks and leave in the freezer to have as desired.
